Student Support

Prizes can be instituted for achievers in academics or extracurricular activities. The sponsor will be required deposit the corpus fund with SNECS which will be deposited as fixed deposit with a bank and the expenses of the prize, usually a trophy and cash award, will be met out of the interest. The prize will be continued for a period of 25 years after which the SNECS governing body will decide whether to continue the prize depending on the then value of interest. After 25 years SNECS will have the right to enhance the prize by depositing additional amount or to discontinue the prize in which case the corpus fund available will be treated as donation to SNECS.

Scholarships are financial assistance schemes to the students of SNECS instituted by well wishers that are expected to continue for an indefinite period of time. The sponsor of the scholarship will be required to deposit the corpus fund and the interest from the same will be paid as scholarship as per the criteria laid down by the sponsor. The sponsor if available and SNECS will jointly administer the scheme as per agreed criteria.

Sponsorship is for a particular student for a definite period as desired by the sponsor. The schemes available are:-

1. Half tuition fee for one year
2. Full tuition fee for one year
3. Half tuition fee for the period of study in SNVB
4. Full tuition fee for the period of study in SNVB

1. Cash award sponsored by Smt. Usha Santhappan in memory of her late husband Sri. K.P. Santhappan for the BEST STUDENT OF Sree Narayana Vidya Bhavan every year.
2. KOCHAIYPPAN FOUNDER AWARD, in memory of late Sri. K. Kochaiyappan, for the student of SNVB who secured the HIGHEST AGGREGATE IN THE SSC Examination every year.
3. Awards for the Subject Toppers in SSC Public Examination sponsored by Sri. C N Karthikeyan (Telugu), Sri. S Ajay Kumar (English), Sri. N K Ravindran (General Science), Sri. A Udhaya Kumar (Social Studies), Sri. N A Rajan in memory of his late father Sri. Arumugan (Hindi) and late Sri. P. Haridas in memory of his late father Sri. P Appu (Mathematics) every year.
4. Cash award of rupees 2,000/- sponsored by Sri P Jayakumar in memory of his late parents Karunakaran & Bharathi for the best all-round performance by SNVB student from class VI to IX every year.
5. Cash award of rupees 1,000/- sponsored by Sri P Siva Prasad in memory of his late mother N Lakshmi Amma for the best all-round performance by SNVB student from class VI to VIII every year.
6. Cash award carrying rupees 1,000/- sponsored by Sri B Sudharman for the best performer – sports category every year.
7. PANKAJAM KOCHAIYYAPPAN FOUNDER PRIZE sponsored by late Sri. K. Kochaiyyappan for the highest marks in 10^th class Public Examination (Members’ children) every year.
8. V.Balan Memorial Award for the highest marks in Intermediate Public Examination (Members’ children) every year.
